The Full Story About
Arena Products, Inc.

A.R. Arena Associates was founded by Tony Arena in 1984 as a manufacturers' representative agency selling custom plastic parts for industrial packaging and material handling. Arena Associates sold packaging made from virtually every plastic process including expanded polystyrene bead molding, extrusion, thermoforming, injection molding, structural foam and rotational molding.

A.R. Arena Associates evolved into a systems integrator supplying custom material handling systems through in-house application engineering and design. The focus was always, and continues to be, designing and creating optimum solutions for Arena customers.

In 1988, Arena Associates began to focus its application development and marketing strengths on the challenge of developing proprietary material handling products and systems. In a strategic alliance with GE Plastics, Arena began creating packaging systems using high performance, engineering thermoplastics.

Arena Associates developed several key
packaging systems including:

1)

Pallet pack system for Rochester Products Division of GM, the first metal reinforced, rackable plastic pallet system, combining structural foam and thermoforming processes.

2)

Structural foam condenser pack for Harrison Radiator Division of GM, which won first prize in the 1989 SPI Structural Plastics Conference

3)

Modular injection molding/extruded Tote Box System for Kodak's field service representatives, made in unique sizes specific to Kodak's industry.

Tony Arena's past selling success, his marketing-driven approach and extensive product and industry knowledge, supported his willingness to take the risks associated with the next evolution of Arena Associates.

In 1989, A.R. Arena Associates became A.R. Arena Products, Inc., reflecting the shift from a service company to a product company, which used high-end engineering plastics in an industry where low-priced commodity plastics were the norm. These materials, coupled with a strong vision of optimizing customers' solutions, soon differentiated Arena Products from its competitors.
